My name is Brad Burbaugh and I am the new Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension
Agent for Duval County. I look forward to working with each of you and assisting you with
your honey bee enterprises.  It is my hope that our relationship will provide a positive,
professional, educational and personal support system for you.

I hope we can work together to educate the public on how important bees are to our
agricultural economy.  If you have any issues, concerns, or problems that need to be

My name is Denise Feiber. I am the public information director for the Department’s
Division of Plant Industry. DPI is the regulatory agency responsible for protecting Florida’s
native and commercially grown plants from harmful pests and diseases. DPI also protects
Florida’s apiary industry. My office is responsible for communicating with the public about
the important programs conducted by DPI. To aid in these communication efforts we
produce brochures, exhibits, videos, technical documents and maintain the Division’s
Website. We also manage the Division’s helpline (888-397-1517). I am also the media
